In the wild : CWTCH logo

Interestingly the CWTCH team chose a Welsh word, Cwtch (/kʊtʃ/), roughly translating to “a hug that creates a safe place”), for their project. CWTCH aims to build a decentralized, privacy-preserving, multi-party messaging protocol that can be used to build metadata resistant applications.

In other words, a way of communication between people via the internet, in a safe way and in a very horizontal way, equal peer to equal peer. Using an interlace as a logo is very coherent and the interlaced knot seems a good way of differentiating this philosophy of connecting people with the ones of, for example, a Facebook that is very centralized, vertical and creates dependence.
